Chapais, a six-row barley developed by Agriculture Canada in St. Foy, Quebec is the most widely adapted barley in Eastern Canada.

Maturity
Chapais is the earliest maturing barley on the Publication 100B recommended list - averaging 89 days, this makes it well adapted to all growing areas.

Yield
Chapais is the highest yielding barley on the Publication 100B recommended list with a 104 yield index.

Grain Quality
Chapais has unusually large kernels for a six-row barley, equalling all two-row varieties in kernel size.

Quality Seed
